Cats in the bird's cage

My OC Vetera~ At some point in her story her eldest brother locks her from the outside world to protect her and prevent her from falling in love hanging out with a certain elf. She isn't locked in a cage, just in her family's manor with guards and people to keep an eye on her. And cats. Lots of cats. <3

I think Vetera is my fav from my female OCs. I wonder why I don't draw her more! Just now I realized I have only one pic with her on here. O.o Weird...I do have more, but those are...a secret. XD I hope I'll finish what I have planned with them one day and I'll be able to show everyone~ But yeah, Vetera is just...someone I really like. She's brutally honest, sarcastic, enjoys fights, but also has a soft spot for kitties and children. They make an awesome duo with Ven! <3

This started as an experimental doodle. And it was supposed to end like that. Because that's what always happens! I try to draw something more challenging, with a crazy perspective or weird angle or anything like that and I just never finish it. But this one...this one turned out somehow different and this makes me worry. From a 5 minute doodle it became THIS! oAo I somehow liked the doodle, wasn't even a proper sketch, then I decided to try and lineart it. It magically worked-lol! So I decided to try and colour it. I even added a background! Then...oh, wait, the picture is already finished. wth, when did that happen-LOL! XD I started it last night and now it's finished!!! But yeah, that was really unexpected, but I quite like how it turned out! >w< _{I know I can't draw cats, but I didn't even try to be honest-lol!} And brown cats, do brown cats exist? We have a brown cat at my house, but it's a lot darker brown and you can only see it properly on sunlight. XD Eeeeh, anyway~
