Lovely Tierra

Semi-realism practice painting of the lovely Tierra! It's a gift for ~

I used an embarrassing amount of ref for this, but I'm happy with how it turned out so I guess it's fine? ;v; idk, I kind of pieced together lots of photos to get the face I wanted, it became a bit like an average face and then I lowered the opacity of that and painted over the features, defined the shapes and then painted the hair on top? ;v; I didn't want to get too much into detail so kept it quite painterly. This is my take on the typical paintover technique I guess, but this way I felt like I had more control and variety and there was no danger of my painting looking too much like one photo because it was such a mixture? I might experiment more with this style but I imagine it'll be quite difficult once I try to do more than just a face portrait.

Still, it was fun! And I'm so happy I got to draw Tierra!
